We have not stopped the peace negotiation with Ukraine, but it is being held remotely, said the Russian Chief Negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky.

He gave his comments on this auspicious victory day parade, which was started in Moscow with troops and heavy weapons.

While speaking in his victory speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that "Implementing a special military operation in Ukraine was a wise decision."

Further, Putin added, "The military is continuously fighting for the security of our people in Donbas and for the safety of the motherland in Russia."

The Russian leader related his conflict in Ukraine with that great historic struggle in a speech that accursed the West for the war but restrained any new escalation, as per BBC news.

Moreover, the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, apparently said, "In the near future, there will be two Victory Days celebrated in Ukraine." He further added, "We won in the past, and now we will win this war too."

The Market Reaction

The trade market is paying less attention to the Victory Day event in Russia and to Putin’s speech, as risky times continue to play out amid global growth worries.

S&P 500 futures are below to 1.60% in a day where as the US dollar Index (DXY) remains trading at 104.03, boost by 0.35% currently.
