New Zealand’s (NZ) inflation forecasts keep assuming higher across the time curve in the second quarter of 2022, as per the recent monetary policy survey assisted by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand on Thursday.

Two-year inflation expectations, which are used to forecast how RBNZ policy will affect prices, increased slightly from 3.27 percent last month to 3.29 percent.

An average of NZ Q2 one-year inflation forecasts rose to 4.88% in comparison with 4.40% seen in the first quarter.

Inflation data is ignored by Kiwis.

With the NZD/USD pair remaining grounded, the boost in the NZ inflation forecasts is expected to raise kiwi bulls.

While I am writing, the Kiwi is trading at 0.6270 points, down by 0.46% in a day.
